SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Over 100 firefighters responded to a commercial fire in downtown San Diego early Monday, prompting road closures in the area. San Diego Fire-Rescue crews responded to the scene at 1323 6th Ave. around 4:10 a.m. and found the building consumed by flames.
“This building has a complicated layout, very dangerous building for firefighters,” San Diego Fire-Rescue Deputy Fire Chief Brian Raines said. “The building is compromised. There’s holes in the floor, so we had to use caution while still attempting to search all three floors.”
