SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A pedestrian died in the City Heights area after a 75-foot tree reportedly fell on them on Wednesday morning.
According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian died as a result of their injuries. It is unknown at this time if the person was a resident in the area.
The incident occurred at 3805 Marlborough Ave. at around 10:55 a.m. The fallen tree also posed a hazard to the nearby houses, prompting the establishment of a 50-foot collapse zone.
