SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Thousands of San Diego County residents were without power Thursday morning following multiple outages reported by San Diego Gas & Electric, some of which are linked to severe weather conditions.
The largest concentration of outages impacted Logan Heights, Mountain View and Lincoln Park, where circuits went out shortly before 8 a.m. SDG&E reported a total of 8,172 customers were without power in these areas. The cause for these outages remains under investigation.
Meanwhile, other areas experiencing outages included Clairemont, Bay Park and Morena, where 745 customers also lost electricity around 7:50 a.m. SDG&E says this outage was related to severe weather.
