For the first time since 2010, the average rent price in the San Diego region ended the year lower than where it started, according to new rental market data from CoStar Group.
Analysts say the rare dip may be small — 0.2% on an annual basis and more than 1% during the second half of the year — but it signals a shift that could give renters more leverage as the trend is expected to continue in the new year.
