ENCINITAS, Calif. — Jerry Cesak, the Hall of Fame radio broadcaster known to millions as “Jer” from the legendary Jeff & Jer Showgram, died January 4 from complications following a kidney transplant he had received in December. He was 74 and died in the arms of his wife, Pam.
Cesak passed away peacefully after a broadcasting career spanning more than three decades, making him one of San Diego’s most iconic personalities. The Jeff & Jer Showgram, which he co-hosted with Jeff Detrow, became one of the most popular radio shows in San Diego’s history during its 27-year run.
