Francesca’s closing all locations, including those in San Diego County

(FOX 5/KUSI) — A national boutique retailer with hundreds of stores nationwide announced it will shutter all of its locations, including several in San Diego County.

Founded in 1999, the Houston-based chain Francesca’s was known for women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December 2020 but was bought out in 2021.

Two San Diego ferries added to National Register of Historic Places

Ongoing financial struggles pushed the business toward the decision to begin liquidating all of its stores this month.

The list of Francesca’s stores closing in San Diego County are the following:

  • Fashion Valley: 7007 Friars Road #583 A
  • The Forum Carlsbad: 1923 Calle Barcelona #146
  • The Shoppes at Carlsbad: 2525 El Camino Real, Unit 230
  • La Jolla: 7886 Girard Ave.
  • Westfield UTC: 4307 La Jolla Village Dr., Ste. 2215
