LAKESIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man riding a motorcycle in East County has died after being hit by a vehicle late Sunday night.
Around 10:30 p.m., authorities said the 30-year-old motorcycle rider was headed south on Winter Gardens Boulevard, north of Lemon Crest Drive. At the same time, a 31-year-old woman in a Toyota Prius was heading eastbound from a private driveway onto Winter Gardens Boulevard.

For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Toyota made an illegal left turn from the driveway and the motorcycle collided into the vehicle’s left side, according to California Highway Patrol.
The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle and onto the roadway. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said…
