SAN DIEGO — A stretch of bike lanes that once sparked heated debate in North Park and South Park is now seeing more riders than ever, according to new data from the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition.
Neighbors said the difference has been noticeable ever since the lanes were added in 2021 as part of a pipeline replacement project. Cyclists said the lanes have changed how safe the corridor feels in an area known for dense traffic.
