ESCONDIDO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A 22-year-old man from Valley Center was killed early Sunday morning after losing control of his vehicle and crashing in Escondido, authorities said.

According to the Escondido Police Department, the solo-vehicle crash happened around 3:24 a.m. on East El Norte Parkway, just east of Lincoln Avenue. Officials say the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a tree and rolled over into the backyard of a nearby home.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there are no known witnesses.
