(FOX 5/KUSI) — Hector and Rhina Paredes lost their 15-year-old son, Eric, to sudden cardiac arrest in 2009. Now, they are raising awareness about sudden cardiac arrest in youth to prevent the tragedy from affecting other families in the community.
Eric Paredes was a sophomore involved in multiple sports at Steele Canyon High School who died unexpectedly on July 23, 2009.
After his death, his parents co-founded the Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation in his honor, hoping to reduce sudden cardiac arrest in youth through education, advocacy and heart screenings…
