Man dies after suffering medical emergency on I-5 in San Diego

(FOX 5/KUSI) — A man died late last week after suffering an unspecified medical emergency on northbound Interstate 5 in San Diego, California Highway Patrol said.

On Friday, just before noon, Border Communications Center got a call reporting an unresponsive Hispanic man on the northbound lanes of I-5, south of Civic Center Drive, according to CHP.

Pedestrian killed in possible hit-and-run in Pacific Beach

Despite life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A toxicology report is pending through the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
