SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A federal jury convicted Mexican national Ricardo Orizaba-Zendejas of drug and firearms crimes on Wednesday in a San Diego courtroom.
The U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release that it took the jury six hours of deliberation to find Orizaba guilty of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. It also found him guilty of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Orizaba, 23, was connected to a drug trafficking organization based in Yakima, Washington. The organization reportedly sourced its drugs from Mexico and moved them through the ports-of-entry in San Diego…
