(FOX 5/KUSI) – San Diego County has decided to move forward with an inspection at Otay Mesa Detention Center in the wake of reports of safety and health concerns.
A press release from San Diego County Board President Terra Lawson-Remer said that “the County is exercising its lawful authority to inspect conditions inside Otay Mesa because silence and secrecy are not acceptable when health and safety are at stake.”
