NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — National City police asked the public to avoid a busy intersection near Interstate 805 Friday afternoon due to a traffic collision that resulted in two people being sent to the hospital.
The crash happened around 11:20 a.m. in the area of East Plaza Boulevard and Grove Street, according to Pulse Point.

National City police issued out an advisory around 1 p.m., telling people to avoid the area of the crash due to traffic congestion.
“The traffic collision near the intersection of E. Plaza Blvd. and Grove St. will cause traffic backups and detours for the next several hours,” the department said. “Please use alternate routes.”
California Highway Patrol has also closed off the off-ramp to Plaza Boulevard from northbound I-805. It is estimated to be closed for about five hours, CHP said on X. Around 4:45 p.m., CalTrans announced both the southbound and northbound off-ramps were closed…
