CHULA VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Three alleged associates of the Sinaloa Cartel have been indicted on federal charges accusing them of orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot in Chula Vista that involved two 15-year-old gang members as hitmen, prosecutors announced.
The indictment, unsealed Thursday, is against Poly Antunez, 30, Antonio Quinones, 27, and Jovanny Enriquez, 20. According to United States Attorney’s Office of Southern California, the trio is being charged with conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering, attempted murder in aid of racketeering, assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder for hire and use of interstate facilities in the commission of murder for hire.
Antunez was already in federal custody on a separate case in San Diego. Quinones and Enriquez were arrested by FBI agents this week and made their first appearances in federal court Thursday afternoon…
