A MAJOR highway has undergone a makeover and introduced orange and white lines on the freeway in an attempt to slow drivers.
The markings are to make motorists aware that they are in a construction zone and encourage them to drive with caution.
A Californian roadworks project near San Diego brought in the measure as a pilot project and officials say its working.
