Deputy-involved shooting in San Marcos leaves one person dead

SAN MARCOS, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an officer-involved shooting occurred in San Marcos on Wednesday night, leaving one person dead.

According to SDSO, at around 9:03 p.m., near N. Twin Oaks Valley and Borden roads, deputies pulled over a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop. Details about what transpired during the traffic stop have not been confirmed at this point.
