Habaneros Mexican Restaurant quietly opened its doors for a soft launch on Thursday, February 12, marking a major milestone in what owner Raiven Bahri describes as the culmination of a six- to seven-year journey.
The new eatery is located at the Coronado Island Shell gas station, which Bahri has operated since 2004. Long known in the community for his emphasis on family values and service, Bahri said the restaurant is a natural extension of his commitment to providing more than just fuel and snacks to Coronado.
Rather than waiting for a formal grand opening, Bahri decided it was time to simply unlock the doors and start serving. “We just opened up the doors, nothing crazy,” he said. “The place is open, it’s operating, we’re running business right now.”…
