Pops of purple have sprung in a Southern California desert after recent rain helped pave the way for a stunning super bloom.
The California State Parks Department said the state is anticipating a moderate-to-strong wildflower bloom this year thanks to a series of storms that drenched the Golden State. In Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the landscape is already lush with blooming wildflowers thanks to the rain.
