10 suspects, including 9 US Navy service members, arrested in connection with assault in Jamul last year

Ten suspects, nine of them enlisted U.S. Navy service members and several associated with criminal street gangs, were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a violent assault that happened at a house party in Jamul last year.

Officials said that the arrests stemmed from an incident on May 3, 2025, when deputies from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault at a house in the 14000 block of Proctor Valley Road. While deputies were responding to the incident, the Sheriff’s Communications Center received additional information which indicated that the suspects were carrying firearms. Officials also learned that a victim of the assault was at a nearby fire station, seeking medical help.

Deputies responded to the fire station and located the victim, who was bleeding profusely from their head and face. The victim told deputies that they were assaulted by a group of people and pistol-whipped. The victim was transported to a hospital with major injuries…
