San Diego County gas prices see largest increase since 2022

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose 14.8 cents Saturday to $5.146, its largest one- day increase since Sept. 29, 2022.

The average price has increased 17 consecutive days, including 10.4 cents Friday, and is the highest it’s been since May 22, 2024. It is 46 cents more than one week ago, 60.3 cents more than one month ago and 41.2 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.289 since rising to a record $6.435 on Oct. 5, 2022.
