San Diego homicide detectives are digging into the suspicious death of an 81-year-old woman who was found unresponsive Friday inside an apartment in University City. Officers and San Diego Fire-Rescue crews responded to a 911 call to a unit on Genesee Avenue and discovered the woman unconscious and awkwardly positioned on a bed. Paramedics tried life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
