SANTEE, Calif. — A San Diego community came together Saturday at Santee Lakes to commemorate the lives lost and support those still affected by the deadly Santana High School shooting that occurred 25 years ago on March 5, 2001. Two students were killed and 13 others wounded when a 15-year-old opened fire on campus.
The gathering brought loved ones and community members together in a powerful show of unity and strength. Attendees expressed their grief through hugs, tears and emotional remembrances of those impacted by the tragedy.
