After the City of San Diego passed an ordinance adding additional regulations on the sale and definition of “protected art,” one local artist, Sara Duvall, alleges she has been repeatedly targeted by Balboa Park rangers, and now she is suing the City.
Duvall is a popular local artist in San Diego who teaches art and used to set up a booth at Balboa Park for years. The art pieces that she crafts by hand address issues such as women’s rights, gay rights and gun control.
