A late-morning drive on Otay Lakes Road turned deadly yesterday when a head-on collision left one man dead and another driver injured in Chula Vista, authorities said. Both cars were pushed off the westbound shoulder, and the roadway was shut down while first responders worked the scene. Officials said the victim’s name is being withheld until relatives can be notified.

According to FOX 5 San Diego, the collision happened around 11:45 AM east of Wueste Road, when an eastbound Honda sedan crossed the solid yellow line into the westbound lane and hit a westbound Acura.
