Police investigating ‘suspicious’ death in San Diego neighborhood

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities are investigating a “suspicious” death after a man was found unresponsive inside a home in San Diego’s Redwood Village neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

According to the San Diego Police Diego Police Department, officers and San Diego Fire-Rescue crews were called around 4:30 p.m. to a residence in the 3800 block of Loma Alta Drive.

The 911 caller reported finding her ex-husband inside the home, unresponsive, not breathing, and surrounded by a significant amount of blood.

Three arrested in East County trolley station robbery

First responders arrived within minutes and assessed the man, identified only as a 46-year-old Hispanic male, for signs of life. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterward.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the death, homicide detectives were called in and have taken over the investigation. Officials say the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined…
