Two sisters of the little girl have just won a settlement against the city of San Diego totalling $31.5m, after their sibling was failed by several agencies in the city.
A lawsuit brought in by two sisters of an 11-year-old California girl who was allegedly tortured and starved by her adoptive family has reached a settlement totalling $31.5m. The settlement, which will be funded by the city and county of San Diego and other groups, was reached in December.
