Federal authorities charge 11 in San Diego meth distribution ring

SAN DIEGO, California — Eleven individuals have been charged with distributing methamphetamine across San Diego County following a 16-month investigation, federal officials announced.

The investigation, led by the FBI San Diego Violent Crime Task Force – Gang Group and Homeland Security Investigations, targeted drug dealers affiliated with the Asian Crips gang in Mira Mesa and other areas. The operation involved court-authorized wiretaps, undercover agents, and confidential sources, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California.

In a coordinated effort, more than 200 federal, state, and local law enforcement officers executed search warrants in Escondido, National City, Ramona, and San Diego, resulting in the arrest of seven defendants.
