SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Seattle-based fashion giant Nordstrom plans to open one of its small service hubs in San Diego this summer.
In a statement on Monday, the company announced San Diego’s first Nordstrom Local hub will open on June 4 in the One Paseo shopping mall in Carmel Valley, located at 3725 Paseo Place. It will be 1,190 square feet — much smaller than its typical stores but offering many of the services offered minus the shopping.
Unlike its department stores, the Nordstrom Local sites offer services including online order pick-ups, item returns, alterations, gift boxes and more. They also allow people to donate gently used clothing and shoes which will go to local nonprofit partners.
