CHULA VISTA (FOX 5/KUSI) — The Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) released the results of a DUI checkpoint that was conducted on Saturday evening in Chula Vista.
According to CVPD, the checkpoint was conducted from 6 p.m. to midnight in central Chula Vista.
Here are the results of the checkpoint:
- 1,816 vehicles traveled through the checkpoint
- 384 vehicles were screened
- Five drivers conducted field sobriety tests
- One driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol
- One driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs
- One driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant
- Five vehicles were impounded
- 12 unlicensed or suspended license citations were issued
- 16 total citations were issued
