POWAY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance images Tuesday night of a person of interest who is suspected of being involved in a sexual battery incident with a 10-year-old girl in Poway.
The alleged attack happened Saturday, May 2, just after 6 p.m., when a 10-year-old girl was allegedly sexually battered by a man near Midland Road in Poway. According to SDSO, the girl’s friend was with her during the attack and screamed for the suspect to stop. He reportedly fled the scene on an electric scooter.
Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
On Monday, officials also released two sketches of the suspect, which show a man wearing sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt.
SDSO describes the suspect as a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old. He’s around 5-foot-10 and has shaved black hair with a receding hairline. He is also described as unshaven and has a large nose, acne scars and bushy eyebrows. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a grey hooded sweatshirt and black shorts…
