Court hearing delayed for man charged with stabbing three guards outside Mavericks in Pacific Beach

The preliminary hearing for a man suspected of stabbing three guards at the entrance of Mavericks Beach Club in Pacific Beach in October 2025 has been delayed so his attorney can hire someone to review the medical records of the victims’ injuries.

The attorney for Dylan Robert Chase, 25, asked for the delay after looking at the medical records in court and telling the judge she was concerned the prosecutor will file attempted murder charges against Chase.
