A teen was killed in a car crash just days after he graduated from high school, authorities said.

The California Highway Patrol said the fatal incident occurred on Saturday, May 30, at approximately 1:30 a.m., local time, on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Seventh Street off-ramp in San Francisco, CBS affiliate KPIX, CW affiliate KTLA and SFGate reported.

A CHP spokesperson told SFGate that the 18-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Camaro made an “unsafe turning movement to the right” and struck a Recology tractor-trailer. The collision prompted both vehicles to hit yellow sand barrels placed along the freeway to absorb crashes…
