SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Prosecutors said they charged several people with crimes that were committed in San Francisco during Pride weekend. District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said a shooting, stabbing, acts of vandalism, and clashes with police occurred during separate incidents in the city.
A 22-year-old woman, Nyasha Gipson, was arrested and charged in connection to the stabbing. On June 28, crowds were leaving Pride festivities held at UN Plaza when Gipson encountered three women on Market Street.
“Without warning or provocation, Ms. Gibson allegedly used a knife to assault three people. One victim was stabbed in the leg, a second was stabbed in the torso while attempting to shield the other victim. A third victim, who was able to avoid serious injury, was allegedly nicked in the leg by the knife,” the district attorney’s office wrote…
