Cable car service shut down Sunday night due to a cable issue on Powell Street, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.
Service on the Powell-Hyde, Powell-Mason and California cable car lines stopped around 4:30 p.m. Sunday after an issue was discovered on Powell between Pine and Bush streets, the agency said.
