SF Sheriff’s deputy charged with assault for inappropriately touching inmate

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A deputy with the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office has been charged with assault for inappropriately touching an inmate at SF County Jail. According to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, the incident took place on Sunday.

While on duty at County Jail No. 2 Deputy Nanette Musto allegedly asked a female inmate whether she had surgically augmented her body. After the inmate answered, Musto allegedly reached out and touched the inmate’s breast, without permission or lawful necessity.

The inmate, according to the DA, felt humiliated and embarrassed by the incident, which was caught on surveillance.

Musto has been charged with one misdemeanor count of assault by a police officer. She is due to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Tuesday in Department 17 of the SF Hall of Justice…
