A routine late-night drive through East Oakland turned frightening yesterday when a 37-year-old man was shot in the leg while behind the wheel, according to police. Officials said his injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
After being hit, the man managed to drive a short distance before stopping and calling a relative, who took him to a hospital. Police said he was listed in stable condition. No one else was reported injured in the incident.
