Richmond police are investigating a shooting Wednesday evening in the 400 block of Wilson Avenue that left two people injured, one of whom was airlifted to a trauma center.
The shooting was reported around 9 p.m. Wednesday, with numerous police vehicles, including units from the El Cerrito Police Department, responding to the scene where the street was taped off. The Richmond Police Department said in a statement that there are two victims, one of whom was airlifted for medical treatment. The department did not release the condition of either victim.
Police were examining a white pickup truck near the scene that appeared to have bullet holes in its windshield.
