(KRON) — What started as a traffic stop for registration tags that expired more than a decade ago, ended with the discovery of a treasure trove of drugs and paraphernalia.
According to the Alameda Police Department, an officer stopped the vehicle on Sunday, August 2 for having registration tags that had expired 11 years ago.

Police said during the stop, the officer determined the driver was on probation and conducted a search that led to the discovery of drugs, paraphernalia and items related to the manufacturing of drugs.
According to the the Alameda Police Department, the following was seized during the search:
- 30 grams of methamphetamine
- 40 pounds of marijuana concentrate
- Various pills
- Tubing
- Propane tanks
- Buckets containing unkown substances
According to the government site justthinktwice.gov, Marijuana concentrate is a highly potent THC that looks like honey or butter, commonly called “honey oil” or “budder”.
