(KRON) — An Oakland man accused of leading a fencing operation connected to a series of burglaries in Concord is facing five felony charges, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.
Wuillian Cordova-Cubias, 37, was arrested after law enforcement officers searched his Oakland home Wednesday and found numerous items of suspected stolen property, including at least 500 power tools, authorities said.
The charges stem from a series of about 35 burglaries reported in Concord’s Ygnacio and Clayton Valley areas between April and July, according to prosecutors.
Concord police determined that a group of juveniles was responsible for the burglaries. Richmond police arrested the juvenile suspects in May in connection with a vehicle theft investigation. Authorities later determined the juveniles were part of a fencing operation allegedly led by Cordova-Cubias…
