Family pleads for answers 3 weeks after Bay Area woman vanishes

A Bay Area family is desperately searching for answers more than three weeks after 36-year-old Chantel Brooks disappeared shortly after leaving work.

With Brooks’ birthday just days away, her family is canvassing several cities and distributing flyers across Fairfield and the broader Bay Area, hoping someone knows where she is.

Fairfield police say the search remains active for Brooks, who was last seen on July 17 at a CVS parking lot off Travis Boulevard just before 2 a.m. She was heading home from her hotel job in San Francisco.
