SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An air quality advisory has been issued for the Bay Area due to smoke from the Timber Fire near Big Sur. The advisory is in effect for Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Bay Area Air District.
“Smoke from the Timber Fire may impact portions of the South Bay and East Bay,” the Air District said in a statement. “Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict.”

The agency recommends that people check the EPA’s Fire and Smoke Map for real-time smoke pollution levels in their local area.
