About 5,000 utility customers from the Outer Sunset to Daly City lost power for several hours Wednesday, according to Pacific Gas & Electric Co. spokesperson Edgar Hopida.
The outage was reported at about 5:30 p.m. Power had been restored for most customers by 7 p.m., with about a thousand still without it around Lake Merced Park.
By 9 p.m., power had been restored to all affected areas except for the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Center and the California National Guard Armory. Power was expected to return there by 10:15 p.m., according to PG&E…
