Dog given oxygen after fire breaks out in SF’s Castro District

(KRON) — Crews responded to a fire that broke out in a garage in San Francisco’s Castro District on Sunday, the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) announced in a social media post. The fire broke out at a home on the 600 block of Castro Street.

The fire has been extinguished. SFFD said there were neither injuries nor people displaced. One dog was rescued from the residence and was given oxygen (see picture below).

Fire crews cleaned up the scene and removed burned debris while checking for lingering hot spots. Officials said one Muni line was rerouted.
