Nearly 4,400 Pacific Gas and Electric Co. customers in the Sunset District were without power Tuesday night after PG&E unexpectedly shut off power to make an “urgent” repair, according to an alert from the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management.
The utility company’s outage map showed 4,392 customers in the Outer Sunset and Parkside neighborhoods were affected by the repair as of 7:28 p.m.
