Ahmad, a robotics engineer, returned home from watching “The Odyssey” on a recent Saturday night to find his neighbors on the sidewalk and fire engines and an ambulance in the street. His first thought was of his fluffy, sociable cat, Edward, who shares a studio with him on the fifth floor of the apartment building at 535 Stockton St.
