SF grant program brings new businesses to the Tenderloin

San Francisco is celebrating the opening of new businesses as part of a city program aimed at filling vacant storefronts and supporting business owners in neighborhoods such as the Tenderloin.

Niebla, a coffee shop and bookstore in the Tenderloin, is among the businesses opening with support from San Francisco’s Storefront Opportunity Grant Program. Another business, Sheba, is expected to open Friday.

“We have often said that every neighborhood needs a bookstore,” a Niebla representative said. “When opening Niebla, we found a home in the Tenderloin.”…
