San Francisco city workers are angry about a concession contract that the City Union leadership negotiated with the billionaire mayor Daniel Lurie.
Augusto Guerra, SEIU 1021 SF Mental Healthcare chapter chair, and SEIU 1021 Brenda Barros, Community Healthcare chapter chair, both talked about the lack of protection from from AI, an actual wage cut and the privatization and contracting out of public worker jobs by Mayor Lurie. with no opposition from the SEIU 1021 SEIU leadership. Several public clinics in San Francisco were closed by the city and the work was contracted out to private non-profits.
