( KRON ) – A person was arrested in connection with a stolen ATM, the Oakland Police Department said.
Several reports of a theft of an ATM in the 300 block of Hegenberger Road were reported to the OPD Communications Division around 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 21.
Responding officers located damage at a business and it appeared that an ATM was removed from the exterior of the business.
According to the police investigation, multiple people used tools to steal an ATM from the exterior of the business and proceeded to flee the area. Police were alerted of the location of the stolen ATM in the 4000 block of Alameda Avenue, police said. Officers responded to the scene and arrested one person in connection with the theft.
