( KRON ) – One woman was arrested for a warrant and another woman received a citation after parking in a handicap space, the Colma Police Department said.
At approximately 7:18 p.m. on Jan. 29, Colma officers observed a vehicle parked in a disabled parking stall without a disabled placard and an expired registration. The car was parked in a shopping center in the 200 block of Colma Boulevard.
The officers then contacted the driver of the vehicle who confirmed she did not have a disabled placard. The driver was a 31-year-old San Francisco resident. According to police, the driver had a suspended driver’s license. Another woman approached the vehicle indicating she associated with the car.
Despite the second woman having a valid driver’s license, she had an out-of-county misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. The 42-year-old woman was arrested for the warrant. Police said the woman disclosed she had stolen merchandise from an East Bay business in the car. The merchandise was recovered.
